“It is shameful that Mari Luz’s father has brought himself to complain,” was the reaction of Clarence Mitchell, the spokesman for the McCann couple, in response to the request from Juan Jose Cortés that the posters with the photo of his daughter beside Madeleine should not be distributed.

McCann Brooks & Mitchell:More Innocent People Drawn Into Their Macabre Media Game.

A Swiss father-of-three is being interviewed by police today after it emerged he was the mystery man seen driving from the camping ground with a girl who looked like Maddie McCann days after she vanished in 2007.
Karsten Mayer, 41, is a German-speaking Swiss native who lives near the capital Bern whose own daughter was in the family car and who, he says, was mistaken for the missing toddler by a British eyewitness.
The potential sighting came three days after Madeleine was abducted from Praia da Luz in Portugal, a few hours drive away.
Sighting: A blonde girl identical to Madeleine McCann was seen with a German family at the Cabopino campsite on Spain's Costa del Sol (pictured) just three days after the British toddler went missing five years ago

It emerged yesterday that British detectives investigating her disappearance have been told a German family paid extra after arriving at the campsite with one more child than expected on May 6, 2007, according to The Sun.
But Mr Mayer, who was spotted with the blonde girl, has since insisted the youngster was not Madeleine, and was infact his own daughter.
Mr Mayer also pledged to speak to police to clear himself of any connection to missing Madeleine following the media reports yesterday.
Missing: Madeleine was abducted from Praia da Luz in Portugal, a few hours drive away from the Spanish campsite, in May 2007

'I am turning myself over to police,' said Mr Mayer, a self employed businessman, 'before these media reports get me arrested.'
He told Blick, Switzerland's biggest daily paper; 'I did have a girl around about Maddie's age in the car - she was my own daughter who also happens to have blonde coloured hair and was about the same age as Maddie at the time.'
Karen Sisson, 49, the British woman who reported the sighting to police, said the girl 'looked groggy' and seemingly 'alienated' from the family she was with. She said the car had German plates that began with BE.
But the BE registration for the town and district of Beckum in western Germany went out of use 38 years ago.
Journalists in Switzerland used the number of the car to trace Mr Mayer to his home near Bern - BE standing for cars registered to the city and surrounding area.
Mr Mayer added; 'I was at the camping ground with my family. It is really unbelievable that I am some kind of suspect because we read about Maddie's disappearance on a notice at the campsite. We were shocked and we felt for the parents.
'It is quite possible that my daughter appeared distant. She was tired after a very long road trip.

UNTIL someone wakes up and realizes the deal done between Brooks and the McCanns over phone hacking, the sick media reports will continue and gullible people will continue to give to a fraudulent fund.

G. Amaral: Threatened with Death
Gonçalo Amaral yesterday refused to provide his current address to the Judge of the Court of Faro, claiming to have "received death threats." Former PJ inspector was heard at the trial of Aragao Correa and Antonio Dores, accused of defamation.

For those who do not know, the McCanns are heavily involved with Aragao Correa ,they use him to discredit Gonçalo Amaral...
And if I may draw your attention to a very serious comment left on the MMF by a blogger.

Quote

It's not Internet nutters that Dr Amaral should be worrying about. Internet nutters are people who hide behind a pseudonym and hurl abuse at those who dare to express a different opinion. Such nutters are basically cowards - if they could kill by right-clicking the mouse, no doubt they would, but to actually come out into the real world and physically kill someone - IMO highly unlikely. What is more likely is that there is an organization behind most of the Internet nutters in the pro parents camp. IMO the purpose of such an organization is what is commonly referred to as reputation management. There are grounds to assume that the majority of the nutters in the pro parents camp probably work for one or more reputation management organizations. This also explains the many "Road to Damascus" moments of erstwhile prominent antis. Such persons, or perhaps they aren't real persons at all but personas, were initially planted in the (for want of a better word) anti camp. Their purpose was to foment critical discussion and record important information in order to identify trends, so that strategies could be developed by reputation management to combat them. IMO the 3As could have been established under the auspices of such a reputation management organization in order to concentrate the anti activity in one place - anti activity which was difficult to control on the Mirror website and being on the website of a national daily newspaper, too accessible to too many people. Thus getting the Mirror site closed down and concentrating activities in one place, made it easy to monitor what was going on and keep it under control. Over the past 5 years it has become clear that there is far more going on behind the scenes than would conceivably be the case if the disappearance of Madeleine McCann were 'simply' a matter of the disappearance of a small child, whether she was abducted or accidentally died or whatever. In the past I have always tended to discount any kind of cover up or powerful conspiracy, but my own "Road to Damascus" moment came when I experienced the prominent member of Scotland Yard heading the so-called review, sitting on a sofa in a TV studio regurgitating the same old same old that we have been hearing and reading for the past 5 years inspired by - reputation management. But it's not the reputation management people that Dr. Amaral should fear either; imo it's whoever is employing their services. The longer this goes on and the closer he gets to revealing the truth, the greater the danger he faces. To date they have tried everything to silence him and if one looks at the lengths to which they have already gone to discredit him and break his resolve, it is clear that he is up against some extremely powerful forces indeed. Only a fool would discount the possibility that eliminating Dr Amaral is the final option if all else fails, especially as all else is starting to look close to failing.

#McCann Latest Victim : Antonio Castela Who Spoke With PJ. His Evidence And Timeline Has Been Changed By Clarence Mitchell. Antonio's Witness Statement Was For May 3rd Mitchell Has Changed The Date To May 4th ! I Have Reported This To IPCC On Twitter I Shall Follow It Up In Writing. Mitchell Has Gone Too Far !

Breakthrough? Antonio Castela, 72, claims he is sure that a little girl in pink pyjamas who was with four adults was little Madeleine
This is what Castela said

"I don't have a lot to say, but what I have to say, I can state with certainty. On the 3rd of May at 8.10pm, the evening of Madeleine's disappearance, three men, a woman and a little girl entered my taxi. Sitting beside me was seated a man who resembled Robert Murat and whom I recognised later in the press. There was also a little girl in pink pyjamas with that distinctive mark in her eye and her mother, of that there is no doubt."

Madeleine McCann latest news: Antonio Castela claims he picked up girl in taxi

dailymail.co.uk — Taxi driver Antonio Castela, 72, says he picked up a little girl dressed in pink pyjamas who matched Maddie's description while Rose Johnson says she saw the little girl last August in Nerja, Spain.

4 years ago.....Clarence Mitchell, spokesman for the McCanns, reacted yesterday with amazement at the declarations of the taxi-driver. “The declarations of Mr. Castela are false. They are a perfect nonsense. He can only be mistaken when he says that at that time he transported Kate and Madeleine with three men”, he said, underlining the fact of being several independent witnesses who place Madeleine's parents in a completely different place. “How is that possible, if at 20h35 several witnesses say that Kate and Gerry were sitting down on a table of the Tapas restaurant”, he questioned. Clarence doubts of the intentions of the taxi-driver. “It astonishes me that only now, ten months later, he talks about this. These are declarations that only cause pain to Kate and Gerry", he said, advancing that that the McCann's daughter has no facial twitches.
“The only sign to report is the one she has in the eye.”

Also 4 years ago in The Telegraph.....But the McCanns spokesman Clarence Mitchell told the newspaper: "We are dismissing this primarily because the timings are entirely wrong."

Roll forward 4 years to May 2nd 2012......McCann family spokesman Clarence Mitchell said: "It is clearly deeply shocking that [Mr Castela] now tells us he has not been interviewed once by a detective.
"This is exactly the sort of thing that needs to be looked at in the investigative review now being carried out by the Metropolitan Police

I think everyone can see very clearly from the facts!!!

#McCann : Hewlett Fabricated Deathbed Letter - His Son Wayne, 40, says he burned the letter because it ‘unnerved’ him so much. How Much Was He Paid For That Little Gem ?

A paedophile suspected of being involved in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann 'confessed' to knowing what happened to the little girl on his deathbed, it has been claimed.
Raymond Hewlett  wrote to his estranged son denying he played a part in the three-year-old’s abduction, but claimed he knew she had been ‘stolen to order’ by a gypsy gang.

Cancer sufferer Hewlett, who has a record of raping and abducting children, had previously claimed to have seen the missing toddler twice before she vanished in 2007.

Paedophile Raymond Hewlett has reportedly confessed to knowing who abducted Madeleine McCann, who went missing in May 2007
Detectives working for Kate and Gerry McCann (pictured) are said to be 'extremely interested' in Hewlett's claims and are said to be preparing to interview his son Wayne about the letter
Detectives working for Kate and Gerry McCann (pictured) are said to be 'extremely interested' in Hewlett's claims and are said to be preparing to interview his son Wayne about the letter
But he vowed only to reveal where he was the night she went missing if he was paid thousands of pounds.
Kate and Gerry McCann’s private detectives refused the request.
Today his son Wayne claimed to the Sun that the letter was delivered to him by a mystery man a week after he died in April.
Wayne, who has had no contact with his father for 20 years, claimed his father insisted he had nothing to do with Madeleine’s disappearance – but that he knew who did.
He said: ‘He said a very good gipsy friend he knew in Portugal had got drunk and “let it out” that he had stolen Maddie to order as part of a gang.
‘My dad said this gang had been operating for a long time and had snatched children before for couples who couldn’t have children of their own.
‘Maddie had been targeted. They took photos of children and send them to the people they were acting for. And they said Yes or No.’
Private detectives working for the McCanns are said to be ‘extremely interested’ in the claims and are preparing to interview Wayne.
Wayne, 40, says he burned the letter because it ‘unnerved’ him so much.
The Sun reported they learned of the existence of the note through another source and confirmed they had not been approached by Wayne originally.
Madeleine went missing from The Ocean Club Hotel in Praia da Luz in the Portuguese Algarve while her parents dined at a restaurant on the resort.
Hewlett was living with his family on a campsite an hour’s drive away at the time.

#McCann : Raymond Hewlett - The McCann's Tried To Frame Hewlett For Their Crime - Will Andy Redwood Complete Their Mission ?

For two years, the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has charted an erratic course from Leicestershire to Morocco in its efforts to trace her whereabouts. Yesterday, its focus moved to a German hospital where a convicted British paedophile is being treated for throat cancer.
Raymond Hewlett, 64, who is wanted in connection with at least two sexual assaults in England and Ireland, emerged as the latest "individual of interest" to private investigators hired by Kate and Gerry McCann after it was revealed he was living with his family an hour's drive from Praia da Luz, the Portuguese resort where the three-year-old disappeared on 3 May 2007.

The former Scots Guard, who has convictions for the abduction and indecent assault, including attempted rape, of girls in Britain dating back to 1972, did not feature on a list of paedophiles with links to Portugal drawn up in the aftermath of the disappearance.

The Independent understands that the Briton, described by detectives as "cunning" and a "danger to children" was questioned during the initial inquiry but discounted after providing an alibi.

Two British investigators leading the McCanns' investigation are in Germany to speak to Hewlett amid suggestions from two police forces that he could be extradited to Britain to be questioned about unconnected sex attacks.

The twist comes shortly after the second anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance and her family's subsequent "awareness campaign", funded by donors and £1m in libel payments received by the McCanns and their friends, to try to ensure her case is not forgotten.

The McCanns marked the occasion with a series of media interviews and by issuing a computer-generated image of how their daughter would now look, aged six, in an attempt to gain new leads.

Yesterday, the gaunt features of Hewlett, propped up in a hospital bed, propelled the case back into the headlines.
Hewlett, who was travelling Europe and North Africa in a motorhome with his German wife and six children in 2007, was pictured on the front page of the Daily Mirror with his assertion that he was innocent of any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance.

Pictures of the long-haired Hewlett, who has variously worked on fishing trawlers and as a fairground operator, were printed next to artist's impressions of a long-haired man spotted outside the McCann's apartment .

Clarence Mitchell, the former BBC journalist who is the family's spokesman, was careful to manage expectations, confirming only that Hewlett was of "operational" interest to its investigation headed by former Detective Inspector Dave Edgar and former Detective Sergeant Arthur Cowley.

The officers, who have experience in "cold case" reviews, were hired by the Find Madeleine Fund to re-examine leads from the initial investigation.

Mr Mitchell said: "This is one line of inquiry ... Kate and Gerry are fully aware of the development and have been for a little while."

It is understood new information on Hewlett, originally from Blackpool, Lancashire, emerged after the latest media appeal by Madeleine's parents.

The Daily Mirror said attention was drawn to the Briton by a couple who met him while in Portugal, where he had been selling second-hand goods while touring camp sites and towns.

Hewlett insisted he was 30 miles from Praia da Luz at the time of the abduction, telling the newspaper: "I know exactly where I was. I wasn't anywhere near there [Praia da Luz]. I've done nothing wrong, nothing, nothing. " Hewlett is understood to have drifted around Europe, avoiding outstanding arrest warrants, after a string of convictions in Britain, including the abduction and sexual assault of a neighbour's daughter in 1972 and an attack in 1978 when he put a gun to the head of a 14-year-old girl during an attempted rape.

A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said: "We are seeking him in connection with an indecent assault in 1975."
n The disgraced former Portuguese police chief who previously led the inquiry into Madeleine McCann's disappearance has been convicted of perjury.

Goncalo Amaral was given an 18-month suspended sentence by a court in Faro, Portugal. He was one of five officers charged over an alleged attack on the mother of another missing girl. Amaral was convicted of falsifying documents, the Correio da manha reported.

The McCanns are taking legal action for defamation over Amaral's "entirely unfounded claims" in the media, which included the allegation that Madeleine was dead and that her parents were involved in concealing her body.

Old habits: Retired police on the case

*After a long career pursuing villains in the name of the law and public service, many might expect Britain's police officers to spend their retirement as far away as possible from the dogged pursuit of wrongdoing.

Increasingly, that is far from the case. Rather than reaching for a set of golf clubs, newly-retired detectives and their uniformed counterparts are entering the nebulous and lucrative world of private investigation to deploy their skills tracking down debtors, countering industrial espionage and accepting cases that have baffled regular law enforcement bodies.

The latter scenario is the one that currently confronts the Alpha Investigations Group, the company headed by former detectives Dave Edgar, 52, and Arthur Cowley, 57, pictured right, which has been employed since last year by the Find Madeleine Fund. The two men, who between have more than 60 years experience in the Royal Ulster Constabulary and Merseyside Police respectively, are part of a growing body of professional police officers whose skills are in demand in the private sector for work that ranges from threats to the security of large corporations to pursuing missing funds through tax havens.

The Association of British Investigators (ABI), which represents about 500 companies, estimates that 70 per cent of employees in the industry are former police officers with the remainder recruited from the legal or technology sectors.

Peter Heims, a veteran investigator with more than 50 years experience, said: "It is a natural progression for a lot of police officers. You do 20 or 25 years service and come out of the force with time and a desire for a second career. The skills you acquire as a detective or a uniformed officer are more and more in demand."

According to ABI estimates, there are about 10,000 private eyes in Britain with the £1.5bn industry growing at about five per cent a year. In the meantime, it seems customers such as Kate and Gerry McCann are reassured by the no-nonsense approach of the likes of Mr Edgar and Mr Cowley.

Speaking earlier this month, Mr Edgar, a former detective inspector, said:

"You don't start an investigation in Morocco or Spain or France or even Lisbon.

This offence happened in Praia da Luz.

That is where I think the answer is."

#McCann LIES : #Paedophiles Wife Knows The McCanns Are Liars !

MADDIE SUSPECT RAYMOND HEWLETT: I'LL TAKE LIE TEST

Madeleine McCann suspect Raymond Hewlett is ready to take a LIE DETECTOR test to prove his innocence in the case.

The convicted paedophile has carried out a string of vile attacks on children but denies any link to Maddie's disappearance.

But police face a race against time to establish the truth, as last night doctors were battling to keep Hewlett alive after complications following a cancer op.

The fiend, 64, was said to have suffered massive internal bleeding, with a source adding: "His condition might worsen at any time which could end his life."

As Hewlett lay critical in hospital, his German wife Mariana Schmucker, 33 - mum to their six children - challenged Maddie's parents Gerry and Kate to come to see her.

She said: "I know about my Raymond's past and it is forgotten. He is a changed man. I know he didn't take Maddie.

"He is a very sick man and has said to me he will do anything to prove he is innocent - even take a lie detector test.

"Let the parents of Madeleine come here and ask him face-toface if he had anything to do with their child going missing.

"My husband has nothing to do with little Madeleine. He's an innocent man and he'll prove it not anyone."

Mariana shares a squalid twobedroom flat - overlooking a kindergarten - with Hewlett and their children.

Drifter

It is just a few miles from where the suspect now lies in University Hospital, in Aachen, Germany.

Again denying any link to Maddie's abduction by her husband, Mariana said: "These are lies all lies. I know my husband more than anyone in this world and I will tell you he has done nothing wrong.

"Those police should be looking for the real man who took that little girl and not Raymond, he's a sick man, a very sick man." Former soldier turned drifter Hewlett had been living near Praia de Luz in Portugal when Maddie vanished from her family's holiday apartment in May 2007.

By the time he was tracked to Aachen, near the Belgian border, this month he was already seriously ill with lung cancer.

But British police still want to interview him about a sexual assault on a child in West York-shire in 1975, and the murder of 11-year-old Lesley Molseed that same year.

Hewlett served 12 months for abducting a 12-year-old girl, knocking her out with paint stripper and raping her in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, in 1972.

In 1978, he was jailed for four years after holding a 14-year-old girl and putting a gun to her head.

Last night, in a new twist, a British couple who first raised suspicions about Hewlett over missing Maddie a year ago claimed police had not taken them seriously until now.

Alan Thompson, 56, and his wife Cindy, 47, from Peterborough, Cambs, had met Hewlett while on holiday in Portugal.

Cindy told The People: "We cannot talk in detail about the police inquiry, but let's just say we are hoping they take this seriously now.

"We are utterly confused about the delay. It's a worry for us and it must be worse for the McCanns.

Alan said: "I only hope it is not too late." The McCanns' spokesman Clarence Mitchell, said the family's own investigators also wanted to speak to Hewlett, and to the Thompsons.

He said: "Mr Hewlett has denied any involvement in Madeleine's abduction.

"Our investigators hope he will see sense and co-operate by giving them whatever information needed so they can eliminate him from the investigation.

"It's clear the man is ill and it is clear he has information that our investigators need."

#McCann : VICTIM : Joaquim Jose Marques - How Many Innocent Men Have The McCanns Tried To Frame For Their OWN Crime ?

Revealed: 'Madeleine photofit man was jailed for raping British girl'

Last updated at 15:34 25 January 2008

The man in the sketch of Madeleine McCann's alleged abductor has been identified as a pig farmer who raped a British tourist in the town where the three-year-old disappeared.

Joaquim Jose Marques raped his teenage victim while an accomplice targeted her friend, the Portuguese daily newspaper Diario de Noticias reported today.

Marques, who has a daughter of Madeleine's age, was sentenced to five years in jail in 1996 after being found guilty of the 1995 attack in Praia da Luz.

Just three weeks into the Madeleine investigation, which started in May last year, investigators ruled him out of any involvement in her disappearance.

Scroll down for more...

joaquim jose marques Joaquim Jose Marques is the man in the sketch released by the McCanns - he was interviewed immediately after Maddy went missing and interviewed again yesterday before being ruled out of their enquiries
His unnamed accomplice was also convicted of rape in 1995, the Portuguese paper added.
The girls, both British and aged 17 and 18, were said to have been staying with a relative at the time.

Dreadlocked Marques, nicknamed Quim Ze, was also a known gun-runner and drug trafficker, the paper claimed.

He was linked to Madeleine's disappearance earlier this week after being identified from a new sketch of a man suspected of snatching her from her family's holiday flat in May last year.

Scroll down for more...
They interviewed
Threatening: The pig farmer points his rifle at journalists
him for a second time earlier this week after Kate and Gerry released an artist's sketch of the scruffy stranger seen by a British tourist in and around Praia da Luz in the days before the abduction.

Portuguese police ruled him out of the abduction but the McCanns spokesman Clarence Mitchell said they did not believe the right man had been found and said the hunt for the man in the drawing continued.

The Daily Mail yesterday tracked Mr Marques to his ramshackle farm in Pedragosa, four miles from the Algarve resort where Madeleine disappeared.

He refused to speak about the international hunt for the man shown in the posters - which have been sent to Interpol and to Portugal, Spain and North Africa.

He screamed obscenities at callers to the isolated farm and then returned brandishing an ancient-looking rifle.

Standing among his pigs and surrounded by feral dogs, Mr Marques shouted: "Leave me alone, leave me alone... look at this face, is this the face in the picture?"

Mr and Mrs McCann, both 39, believe the sketch could show the man who took their daughter from their holiday apartment in Praia da Luz.

It was drawn by an FBI trained forensic artist based on descriptions by British tourist Gail Cooper, who told police how a "creepy man" came to her villa in Praia da Luz, asking for donations for a nearby orphanage, only days before Madeleine went missing.

Still missing: Little Madeleine
Mrs Cooper, 50, of Newark, Nottinghamshire, said she saw the man three times, once when he was hanging around a children's beach outing.

Portuguese police have dismissed her sightings and the e-fit as having "no credibility" and say the McCanns are using them as a "diversion tactic".

They remain convinced Madeleine died last May 3 and that her parents were involved in her disappearance.

Mr and Mrs McCann, of Rothley, are still official suspects in the case.

But the couple's private investigation agency Metodo 3 believe the sketch could show the abductor.

Their hotline has received dozens of calls from those who think they have seen the man in the sketch.

A police source told the Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha the image "could apply to many, many people," and said Mr Marques was not a suspect.

He said: "Contact with the individual was not in any shape or form an interrogation. It was just an informal contact to clear up any suspicions."

Neighbours described Mr Marques as a reclusive character who had moved to the isolated farm last year to live quietly with his British-born girlfriend and their daughter, who is three or four.

#McCann : Victim Ken Bigley - After Being Decapitated One Fails To Imagine How The McCanns Thought Their Cases Were Alike - BUT This Was A Time When The McCanns Were Under Suspicion So I Guess Poor Old Ken Would Have To Do !

Ken Bigley's brother gives comfort to McCanns

Madeleine McCann's parents have had an emotional meeting with the brother of Ken Bigley.
Madeleine McCann's parents have had an emotional meeting with the brother of murdered Iraq hostage Ken Bigley.

Philip Bigley talked to Kate and Gerry about dealing with the trauma and uncertainty of having a missing loved one.

A friend of the McCanns said last night: "Although their experiences are different, they have both gone through the trauma of losing someone very close.

"Philip felt he could offer some advice. They found his words comforting and extremely helpful. It was an emotional meeting.

"It was good to be able to have a discussion with someone who has been through something similar.

"Gerry felt he could talk quite openly and candidly and he found the conversation comforting.

It gave both him and Kate the feeling they are not the only ones to go through an ordeal like this."

Civil engineer Ken was kidnapped with two Americans in Baghdad in September 2004.

The Bigley family endured three weeks of uncertainty as kidnappers made a series of demands.

Finally the al-Qaeda group beheaded Ken, 62, filming the execution.

Philip broke off from a holiday in the Algarve to spend an afternoon with Kate and Gerry.

He met the couple at their Praia da Luz villa at the weekend.

A source close to Philip, from Liverpool, said: "He really feels for the McCanns and what they are going through.

"He knows how much talking helps and thought he could offer some support.

He also knows what it is like to be in the media spotlight during a difficult time."

Writing about the meeting on his internet blog, heart specialist Gerry, of Rothley, Leics, said: "He came to offer us a different type of support. He has been through an ordeal involving one of his family.

"It was good to talk about our emotions, the pressures and coping strategies that we use in an ongoing trauma, with someone who has experienced a tragic event like ours."

Shortly after his brother was murdered, Philip, 52, talked about the "agony" of not knowing what had happened to him.

He said: "We experienced three long weeks of waiting and agony. The horror of the final days will haunt us for ever."

Like Gerry, Philip lobbied politicians including the Prime Minister to do what they could to help.

Madeleine, four, was snatched from her bed in Praia da Luz on May 3.

Investigators are still waiting for test results on specks of blood found in the McCanns' apartment.

Fresh police searches are expected to take place in and around the resort within the next 24 hours.

A number of witnesses are also going to be interviewed again.

Officers have been granted new search warrants valid until tonight.
